Samsung unveils ATIV Book 9 2014 Edition Ultrabook and ATIV One 7 2014 Edition All in One PC

We already knew Samsung will be all over CES 2014 and it most certainly is! After announcing its brand new line-up of Televisions and Tablets, Samsung has just unveiled the ATIV Book 9 2014 Edition Ultrabook and ATIV One7 2014 Edition.

Samsung ATIV Book 9 2014 Edition features a 15.6-inch Full HD (1920×1080) display which offers a 20 percent brighter, 125 percent higher definition display than the previous generation Book 9 with wide-angle viewing angles, Intel’s 4th generation (Haswell) Core i5/i7 ULV CPUs, 8GB of RAM, 720p HD front facing camera and up to 1TB of flash storage. The ultrabook also comes with Windows 8.1 out of the box.

Samsung claims the new ATIV Book 9 2014 Edition ultrabook has a 14-hour battery life. Samsung actually downgraded the display resolution from 3200 x 1800, the one found on the previous generation 13.3-inch ATIV Book 9 Plus, to 1920 x 1080 just because of battery life as the previous model simply had terrible battery life. It measures in at 374.3 x 249.9 mm and weighs around 1.85 kg. The device will be offered in Solid Black, and will be available globally.

Alongside the ATIV Book 9 2014 Edition, Samsung also announced the ATIV One 7 2014 Edition All-in-One PC. The Ativ One 7 includes a 24-inch Full HD (1920×1080) display, Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM and 1TB of HDD storage.

As of this moment, exact release date and pricing on the latest ATIV products isn’t available.

Sony unveils new camera Cyber shot W830 and W810

Sony has introduced a new model of digital compact cameras - Cyber-shot W830 and W810, designed, according to the manufacturer, meet the needs of contemporary photographers who shoot for fun and want to get better quality pictures than a smartphone, but it is not minded to pay big money for new camera.

Both new products are equipped with 20.1-megapixel CCD with video capture in HD. Beauty feature helps eliminate minor defects pictures directly on the camera, and an extended set of image effects must meet the creative demands of users. The new models also have the opportunity to take panoramic pictures 360 degrees, and Intelligent Flash optimally tune the sensitivity of ISO, to illuminate distant objects.

DSC-W830 :

The camera DSC-W830 installed optics ZEISS, BIONZ processor and 20.1 megapixel CCD in a compact body. Optical SteadyShot technology minimizes blur in the picture from the camera shake, and the use of Optical SteadyShot Active mode in combination with an electronic image stabilizer is designed to get smooth video. Panel houses controls that are typical for advanced camera and a metal coating emphasizes stylish colors.

DSC-W810 :

Model DSC-W810 is equipped with a 20.1 megapixel CCD sensor and 26 mm wide-angle lens with 6x optical zoom. Adding a new mode «Party» allowed the camera to automatically adjust settings for shooting in challenging lighting conditions, and a special video button on the rear panel allows for even easier and faster to start shooting HD video.

Sales model W810 will begin in January, W830 - in February 2014. Estimated cost model: W810 (black, silver, pink) - 3990 rubles, W830 (black, silver, pink, purple) - 4990 rubles.
